No More Knives Tournament Win

Poulton Vics Dortmund Under 11s were proud to participate in the NoMoreKnives football tournament held at the Jeffrey Humble Hub in Liverpool.

Playing top quality opposition from across the North West, Poulton Vics Dortmund U11s reached the final having remained undefeated during the group stages. A hard-fought final in extreme heat against a brilliant Burscough side ensued. The boys played out an entertaining 0-0 draw, before holding their nerve to win the trophy in a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out.

The day was made even more special as the team had a guest player, Sutton from California, USA who was in the country to gain valuable experience of how the English game is played. As a club we are pleased to help support and develop a young boy's dream of playing in England.

On participating in this particular tournament, Paul Greenslade said: “We are so proud to support a very important issue of eliminating knives from the streets, a huge well done to Paul Bentley and the team for what was a fantastic event”
